NEW WEBSITE!

Hello friends!

I have never been really happy with blogger so I finally found a site that can do a bit more for me! It has a blog as well as spaces for a "gallery" for my current projects. I'm hoping that since podcasting has been so sporadic, I can once again try out the blogging again.

So please come on over! It's still a work in progress, but I have a nice home page, about me page and my first blog post.

Hey Hey It's Friday

Well, lots of things going on really. I'm re-evaluating the whole podcast gig. Not giving it up, but just trying to figure out what is going to be the best plan for fitting it into what seems to be an overwhelming schedule. When it comes down to it - life is interfering with my crafting time which makes it difficult to podcast when there is nothing new to talk about!!  To read more, please see my Ravelry post HERE.

In addition, I haven't been feeling the best, so the blog posting has also suffered! Not until I can get myself feeling great, can I do great things,  ya know!

But in the meantime I figured I could at least share some fun photos of the week like I typically would on podcast day.

I have more photos perhaps I can share over the next few days - but I need to get them edited and saved first! We had a fun afternoon at the inlaws house for a combo Mother's Day/Emily's Birthday. It was a beautiful day out and we enjoyed playing outside for a bit.  This week is a groggy blur. Not much went on except for the same old day in day out stuff, school, karate, yada yada yada.

Fun Friday! What's the point of cleaning anyways!

Just a quickly little "meme" to lighten the mood! And this one literally made me chuckle out loud.

It seem pretty pointless to attempt to clean the crafting areas I've accumulated. It seems the minute they are clean - is the same minute I need something that I can't find because I just cleaned the whole table and it's tucked away where I can't get at it without essentially pulling out all my stuff again creating a whole new mess in said space! It's as bad as the darn kitchen - I clean it up before a meal and BAM....it's an explosion once again after dinner.

Too bad the kitchen didn't have a door to just close...

Happy Monday! (Wait what, is that a thing?)

No really, it was a pretty fab weekend for The CATT Lady and Family.  Mini gold, Mexican food, Swimming, and more!  Also got in a quite a bit of crafting during the week and weekend.

New FO to show, a few regular old WIPs and the debut of a new craft as well as a even NEWER craft on the horizon.

Don't forget, the CATT Along is only a few weeks left! Can't believe how fast the summer is going.

Episode 10 - Everyone needs a do-over sometimes

Take two!  I recorded this morning and then while on my way to Joann to get even more things crafty, I not only thought about things I forgot to mention, but figured I was getting more things to share and just didn't really like how all over the place it went.  

Well take two was better, but I was still spacey and still had interruptions from the kids - but hey what else is new right?!

So here I am spacey-wacey and cold as heck! Had a busy weekend full of wedded bliss - both helping out in photographing one and then attending one! I have a number of FOs and a never ending list of WIPs. There will be sweaters, socks and a few stash enhancements to boot.

Episode 7 - FAIL!

Hello!  What a week.  Birthday party planning, Mother's Day adventures and another glimpse at the now completed Giant Tutu!

And guess what else? I can knit again!  Stitches are out and I'm getting back into the knitting groove. Working to try to finish the "Sunlight Shawl for Sad People" and embarking on an ambitious project of a hand dyed mitered square blanket with mini skeins of wool hand dyed by me.  Great way to experiment with dying techniques which are so much fun!

Mini-Episode 2 - Spray Bleach T-Shirt Tutorial

Hello! Welcome to another "mini" episode of The CATT Lady Podcast.  Today I demonstrate how to spray bleach a silhouette onto a dark t-shirt.

As I mentioned in Episode 6, I saw a really cool craft project going on at the local library for "Star Wars Day".  I walked up and asked if I could join in, but you needed to bring your own t-shirt.  So instead, I asked if I could take a stencil home with me and create it myself later!

I am very pleased with the results, and it was quite fun.  I already bought two more plain shirts to make a couple more.  I'll be sure to show those off when they are completed in the near future.
